Oracle of Ages and Seasons

The newest Gameboy release in the Zelda Series after Majoras Mask is for Gameboy Color. What is unique about these zelda games is that it is not one game, but two games, that tie into each other's story lines. The individual games themselves will have different worlds, weapons, and dungeons conquer, but if both titles are owned, then the storylines change in each of the games, creating a twist on the gaming experience. The names of the two games are Oracle of Ages, and Oracle of Seasons. The release date for these games was May in 2001. I have the walkthru for both games!

Oracle of Seasons Main Story

In Oracle of Seasons, Din, the Oracle of Seasons, responsible for managing the four seasons of the Land of Hyrule, and the Rod of Seasons have been kidnapped by Ganon. The brave hero Link learns of this and sets out to save her. However, Ganon learns of Link's quest and splits the Triforce into eight pieces, scattering them throughout the land. In addition, the Rod of the Four Seasons (a device that controls the seasons) along with its hiding place in Hyrule Castle, have flown off to another dimension. As a result of this calamity, Hyrule's four seasons are thrown into chaos and the order of the seasons becomes jumbled. In order to save Princess Zelda and find the "Rod of the Four Seasons," our hero Link must travel back and forth between Hyrule and this other dimension, while receiving help from the spirits residing in the "Tree of Mystery" and also the strange "Uura Tribe" found in this other dimension. In this chapter, Link must harness the power of the seasons with a magical rod (known as the Rod of Four Seasons). Within parts of the game, Link must change the seasons to solve specific puzzles. For example, an item might be trapped on an island in the middle of the water Link will have to freeze the water by turning the season to winter, making it a snap to walk across the ice to gain access. But an item or door might be trapped in the earth, and Link will have to change the season to spring where the ground is moist and easier to dig with a shovel. Other items in the game are the magnet glove, and the slingshot.

Oracle of Ages Main Story

Upon happening down a mysterious path, Link heard a strange voice as he touched the Triforce. "We must stand up and face this challenge!" A dazzling light engulfed Link and when he came to, he was standing in the middle of a strange forest. Then, he heard a voice singing from deep within the forest. Following this voice, he came across a beautiful young girl who was surrounded by animals. This is the heroine of this story, "The Maiden of Time, Nell."

As Link was listening to this beautiful song, suddenly a giant shadow appeared before them. It was none other than the Priestess of Darkness, Beran, seeking to use Nell's power for her own evil desires. With her magic, Nell disappeared right before Link's eyes. What is the fate of young Nell!? Link's new adventure is about to begin! Other characters that help link along his quest are Ricky, and Maple. When link jumps into Ricky's pouch, they become an unstoppable punching pair. Maple flies around on her broomstick, running into link causing both of them to drop their valuables.

In this chapter, Link must utilize his Harp and specific tunes that will enable him to jump from the present to the past and back again items that might be inaccessible in the present could be obtained in the past, and vice versa. Sounds a heck of a lot like the Ocarina of Time, but whatever works, right? Some items in Oracle of Ages are the Cane of Somalia, Pea Shooter, Hookshot, and the Power Braclet.
